Backup and Restore in Tally

In Tally, there is an option to take a backup of your data and restore it. Taking Backup of your data is good on a daily basis to recover the data if your existing data get lost.


Once you open the tally and if the company is not loaded then you will get the Company info window there is an option for Backup and restore.

If your company is loaded in tally then you need to go Company info, Shortcut “ALT+F3” in Gateway of Tally window.

 
Backup Screen:

During taking Backup from tally you will get Two option first is  Source path (location from where actual data is available) and second is Destination path (location for backup save) when you give these two parts then tally will ask you to select your company you on which you want a backup.



Restore Screen:

During the Restore Destination option will go up and Source option will come down. In this case, your destination and source location should be the same that is you want to restore this data.

Note: Please change the Destination path at the time of Company restores else it will overwrite in your live data.
